Nicola: We had a fun weekend with many friends, old and new. Allison was in town for a wedding and stayed at our house, which was fun and very much a reminder of old times when the three of us lived together. Claire and Allison had more stamina than I, and chatted late into the evening. On Sunday we went to a birthday brunch at Andrew and Trevor's house where there was food a-plenty! Man, we were stuffed and didn't eat anything else until 10PM. It was there that we finally met their often talked about friends Jay and Olivier, their kids Nicola and Julien, and Mel with her son Philippe (not sure I have those spellings correct). It was lovely to finally meet them and we had a fun, delicious birthday party!
