A long walk: As it was probably the last nice day of the fall we decided to go walk. It took us a while to decide where we were going to go but we finally decided to drive to Ile des Soeurs and walk across the L'estacade du pont Champlain (Thank you Trevor) and then, if time allowed, walk along the spit of land that makes the north side of the shipping canal. Well that bridge is long and when we arrived on the other side we found out that the gates were padlocked shut. So after helping a couple of cyclists through a hole in the fence we decided that the walk back across the bridge would probably take us until dark anyway. Which it did. It's quite an interesting bridge though and I am curious what the big metal things that look like small movable damming walls actually do.
